Couple more from Jimmy Barnes, one with the guy formerly known as Johnny Diesel (Mark Lizotte). The other because I remember the song back from the days of watching music videos on TV, don't think the song ever got air play in Canada.

Hmmm, didn't delve into family history to know that about brothers in laws.
Found this interesting in that it never occurred to me before as to why perhaps I don't listen to certain music. The guy doing the video is likely right about what he is saying. I just need to think about how prevalent computer generated music is. Personally I am no fan of auto beat tracks so that turns me off of a lot of pop music. I like variances in music and different instruments being used and so the more music that is auto generated then I suppose the more "old" music I listen to instead. Or find band/artists who are actually performers.

Gordon Lightfoot is someone to add to the list of albums to listen to rather than just picking the well known songs.
For the seeding season I have Bob Seger lined up. Always liked his popular songs but never owned/listened to a full album. So have a bunch of his albums in the tractor to listen to when I ever get back in the field. Yes am making use of the cassette deck in the tractor - stream in the house and record to cassette then take in tractor. Keeping things low tech.
I thought Bob Seger was fairly popular in the day but it isn't too easy to find any video of his performances. There are a few, did find Hollywood Nights.

Hollywood Nights is a good workout on the drums.

Even lower tech is my green Steiger with an 8track 😁

The beat of Hollywood Nights is one of things that makes it a good tune.
I remember 8 tracks but too young to really use them much before cassette came out. I was kind of surprised this spring when I tested out the deck in the tractor and it works as it should. So ran a head cleaner through it and head demagnetizer and so far it is working fine. Just about 20 years old. The modern cabs are quite dust tight so that is a huge factor to keeping such a thing working.

Was playing the album Tom Cochrane and Red Rider yesterday working in the shop, I thought there was a video for Untouchable One 35 years ago but maybe not.

The album version of Tokyo is a song that would be in a list of favourites. Bruce Cockburn didn't do many videos so this acoustic version is quite different but if you know the song then it doesn't matter much.

Cockburn got way too opinionated and ruined his music for me. Won't listen to him.

The last few years Kip Moore would be on the list if I ever sat down and thought about which artist I am most inclined to listen to a new album released. I don't have many such artists but do once again like Kips newest stuff.
