BJ Thomas was a good find NF. I think some Bobby Vinton would be interesting to look up some day too.
The song "the calling" by yes was playing a few times so got curious to look it up and came across this cover. My original curiosity was to see how they did the high vocals, and then just curious to see how large the musical ensemble was. Quite surprised such a small production really.

Good find Ken. I enjoy watching great session musicians at work! Reminds me of this one that I posted before one time.

Yes, remember that one - got me digging through old Chicago tunes. I never went to many "event" concerts, did a few, but my most enjoyable music outings were in little pubs/bars and unheard of bands doing good covers. The up close music experience was more appealing than being one of 10,000 in a stadium.
Came across this version of a song I always liked

I don't listen to that much country but this reminded me of a friend from years ago who was crazy about George Strait so much so that she had a life size cutout of him in her bedroom if you can imagine LOL.

As much as I like George's music, I bet he also has one in his bedroom, lol.

A bunch of friends and I drove to Portage la Prairie to look at a 1972 MGB convertible which I later bought. On our way home we saw this little bar on the south side of the main drag. We stopped for a quick pint and heard live music as we walked in. At first we thought it was a cover band but later found out it was actually John Kay from Steppenwolf. We stayed longer than we initially intended.

This is something else.
Eddie Vedder's reaction is fantastic and then the 5 minutes of jamming after is amazing.

For some reason last week I was thinking the band Gratedul Dead is one I really don't know much about. Even though I know the name well. Touch of Grey is the only song I know.
Aron Tippin is another guy from the day I know well. Must have a couple cd's on the shelf. This song fits the 16 ton theme.
And then this one from Confederate Railroad pops up
