Pulled the pin on a JD 9300. Had been using a JD 8430 (78’model) for the last 26 years.

We’ve had reliable tractors, but they have never been “newer “!!

Saw a used tandem grain trailer sold at auction late summer for 30000 US dollars. Guy ran it for fall harvest took it back to same auction lot sold it for 35000. Local dealer had a 8410 Deere with 5500 hours were asking 125000 for it. Last year probably would have been 80

Has new equipment increased 30 percent as well? Anything that has steel in it has been shocking to look at the sticker price. Luckily ,I am not in the market for anything remotely new!! But the used market is on fire as well ! What interest rates do deere , caseih, nh , or cat offer now on new tractors? Interest rates will be the wild card once the plandemic ends.
As I head out to the farm down highway 75, I am seeing more Versatile and Kabota tractors leaving winnipeg. Is that right kabota's higher horsepower tractors like 175hp and up are made in Winnipeg? I know that was the original plan. It is nice to see Versatile still built in Winnipeg and I have to admit I have a bit of an interest now in the red, yellow, and black color tractor. How has the delta track stood up?

Well my 865E went down the road the other day, ended up running it another year after I started this thread. 3350 hours of zero downtime probably makes it the best tractor I have ever owned. Had a few Husco valves on the hydraulics fail over the years, but that only required switching a couple hoses to a different circuit and get fixed later when not running. PTO switch was kicking out a bit this fall so replaced it and problem solved. There were a few updates done to the machine that I never encountered issues with and that's it! Hopefully the low hour 875E that replaces it is as good. View AttachmentWhat year is the 875e

It is a 2017, the 865E was a 2015.

Which would pick 2018 965e 1000 hr. 3 year warranty $360 000 2017 875e 1450 hr. No warranty $370 000
Would the 800/70 r38 be able to run low enough air pressure to be similar to tracks?

Nothing is similar to tracks but tracks. I don’t think I’ll buy another tractor with out tracks.

shmiffy my answer would be it depends what you are doing with tractor. If you were pulling a harrow, land roller and scraper most of the time I would say the edge goes to wheels. If it's on a seeder or tillage most of the time or on a cart tracks works great for that. I have pulled the roller behind my 865 but you have to be careful on the corners, often skip to every other pass. Even harrowing isn't too bad with 865 but I really don't like pulling the pulldozer or scraper when turning under load a lot. I have one of each myself, a 965C and a 865E for 6 years now traded on a 875E. I like them both and they overlap lots. Lights are better on the 965 and you sit higher so visibility is better, I actually took weights off mine and it still pulls like a beast. I think I am running like 12PSI on my 800 duals and in our clay loam soil we don't really see a compaction issue. The 865E was absolutely bulletproof as I have mentioned previously, but I have heard of a few bugs on the 9X5E tractors. You can buy extended warranty for newer tractors, maybe that 875E would qualify? I got another 5 years warranty on my 840 hour 2017 875E and I don't think it was too bad of a price. Usually when I buy extended warranty I never need it.

It would be mainly for seeding. I have a good case mx215 which pulls the roller good. Shed antlers can cause grief with seeder tractor tires. Seems once the seeder goes over it they don’t get caught in tires.
