The last step of the header calibration on flagship involves moving the feeder very slowly to find the maximum height. It would sit there trying but not finish, or wouldn't be able get it to the maximum height. We suspected a pressure problem, and the service manager suggested turning up the pump pressure. But we had plenty of pressure to raise the header manually, so we were hesitant to do that. We noticed that we could hear the hydraulics trying but it was like the pump wasn't opening up. Turns out there's a little hydraulic line that goes from the header lift block back up to the pump, where it feeds into the side of the pump. I think this is some kind of load sensing line. There's a small allen adjustment next to the big pressure adjustment screw. We turned that in (clockwise) a little bit at a time until the calibration would finish. After that it calibrates just fine and gets the real maximum height. Other hydraulic functions on that same pump work a bit better too, like reel up down, and the auger swing which used to have a hard time getting off the cradle. I believe adjusting this screw causes the pump to stroke a bit sooner than before. The pump is the rear-most pump, and the adjustment screw is the top one. Attachments:
