There is a reason that there's a saying "falls apart like a chinese ATV".

No idea about the side by sides, but apparently the quads are built in partnership with KTM. The engines are a KTM design. That's a good sign in my opinion, but still being built in China, they would still give me pause. I think I would rather support a North American mfg.

When I was shopping for one a year ago the sales guy pointed out and it sure looked to me like the 1000CC motor was the same as what's in my Can am side by side. Used the same filter and everything but could be a knock-off like most things China.
They look okay but I have no idea on durability and I would want to know if there is a stable dealer to rely on.
My Can Am's have been trouble free, but as they say: "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." 10K is a lot of money still.

In 5-10 years how much will they be worth? Brand name gonna be 10g more. I don’t know. You also need to price them spec to spec to see real diff in price.

If you pay 10K less now and in 5-10 years it's still worth 10K less isn't that a win? As long as the unit works okay. That's the reason I could never justify buying John Deere equipment, I'd rather have my capital tied up in land and inputs than iron. Now it's all too expensive up front and depreciates like crazy. I do wonder if there is a correction coming in the powersports industry, a LOT of inventory around now unlike a couple years ago.

I was talking to a guy the other night, he is a big sledder, just got his new 2025 sled (think it is an Arctic Cat) 4 stroke, said it is $25,000. He says the dealers are sitting on a lot of inventory from the last year or even 2, so there might be some deals??? I can't imagine the day I would spend $20,000 on a sled that might get used 3, possibly 4 months, in the cold of winter. (the winter thing gets less and less appealing as I get older). I figure I'd rather buy a quad or side by side and get more use out of it. Also sleds are a prime target for theft around here although so are every other recreational thing. This guy said he has a CF moto and it was $10,000 cheaper than a Polaris and he figures it is alright so far, but he just got it so time will tell.

Yes if its even still worth 8 or 9 grand less and it hasn’t given you any issues its a win. Trying to sell an off brand when used might take more time to find the right buyer. The dealers for them dont seem to stick around for too many years. My brother was looking at sleds online and said that a year old new skidoo summit bare bones like he has is only 2,000 more then he paid 10 years ago. I’m surprised it wasn’t more.

I used to say this and now I'm checking the Polaris website every day to see when the status of my 2025 will change from "Scheduled" to "built". I'm getting antsy. And it was way more than $20,000 I also said I'd never spend more than 60K on a pickup or 200K on a tractor...

I told myself it as a toy and the farm don’t need toys !!! Well it gets used for picking rocks in my soybean fields . But a cf Moto has a similar unit like a northstar ranger . I was surprised headingly sports shop sells them along side the ranger . If I would have known back in 21 about the cf Moto I might have considered it ! Polaris accessories are super expensive and I think my ranger only has 1600 kms. 10000 difference plus low usage would have been a bonus . I am not so sure Polaris is the all mighty brand either !! How do we rate Mexican built vs Asian built power sport equipment . I am becoming way less a skeptic of China made products . Most parts come into America and are only assemble at most !
