Interested in hearing what guys are using on their wheat for fungicide. I've been spraying exclusively at heading/early flower stage. Started using Folicur years ago, then Prosaro, Prosaro XTR, some Caramba, Sphaerex and the last couple years mostly a generic called Roxar. I was talking to a neighbor recently that is using Miravis Ace and he said he did a trial against Sphaerex and saw a big advantage to Miravis over the Sphaerex. I haven't really done any trials of fungicides vs fungicide, just years ago some trials of Fungicide vs nothing which was an easy win for fungicide. Just wondering if anyone is seeing Miravis Ace as a superior product? I've heard it will keep your wheat green too long and not add yield? Just hearsay though.

Haven't done side by side trials of different products myself. Used Prosaro XTR the last few years, did Caramba before that I believe. Our agronomist had a side by side a 3yrs ago between Miravis and Prosaro and untreated, both paid for themselves but Prosaro was considerably better on that one trial.
One thing I feel helps is being on the early side of flowering, 20-30% flower doesn't look like a lot of flowers. Fungicides are preventative, I'd rather be on the early side to maximize my fusarium protection. Most guys around us seem to wait till the whole head is in full flower, I like to go a day after I consistently see the first flowers out on the heads across the field.
We have also seen major returns on flag leaf fungicides. Use TwinLine/Nexicor and have seen 7-15bu gains every time we left checks over multiple years, some dry years and some wet ones. This pass does add some stay green to the plant at harvest, barely noticeable on dry years but can be quite green on wet/cool years. But the payback is so huge on the wetter years I don't mind cutting 1mph slower.

I used Prosaro XTR this year, using the old it's not if you spray, it's when. I am open to other opinions about this, but I really want to avoid fusarium. Was thinking about doing Folicur with the herbicide but it wasn't the type of year that supports fungus as it was so dry. I do find the wheat does stay greener longer with the application, hopefully that means longer time to finish and fill kernels! A side note, I didn't fungicide the canola, figured I had enough expense in a very late crop that wasn't going to amount to much with early hail and very dry conditions, I am pretty sure some of the neighbors did the same.

I did a trial 2-3 years ago with several fungicides at heading time. Without digging up specific results the Miravis and Prosaro were very similar(pretty much the same as I recall) but the Miravis treated wheat was awful to put through the combine(green straw). Have been and will continue to use Prosaro XTR, it is a very good product. I also have compared Carumba a couple times and it has always be an inferior product. I have some Prosaro Pro that I never got a trial down on this year, but recall seeing in one of those producer declarations that it is an issue if sprayed on barley.
About the time a guy gets things figured out they change formulations/product names and a guy has to do it all over again...
