Seems fitting the Saskatchewan government in conjunction with federal government has launched an initiative to share costs for grid sampling to create variable rate maps provided you have a sustainable development plan (and other such buzz words). I don't do vr but my local rep believes I can get my soil sampling partially covered. I don't have any documented plan in place but I suspect people would be thrilled to map my land and add that info to their database as things outlined in the link from the other day progress. I think I will pass on this free government money. Even if it is just a matter of filling out some paperwork.
The program is another step to promoting sustainability going forward. Which means more government and other entities seeking control in the works.

I just read this post. The gov't makes 11 to 1 on the old system of seed development. It figures it will save money by amalgamating all of these and giving it to the private sector. Only a gov't could think this way. Some lobbyist is feeding politicians some huge $ to make this happen. Corruption at it's finest. Just like everything that is supposed to be for the good of the farmer it just means bend over you just got a newer prison sentence.
