Hello everyone we are looking to upgrade our grain cart tractor. Currently using an older Steiger 4wd. What’s your thoughts on a 300 hp front wheel assist with duals instead of a 4wd tractor? Do u still have decent visibility being closer to cart compared to cab on 4wd? How big of a cart could a tractor like that pull? Have a 800 bu cart right now but it’s on the small side for us too. Thanks in advance.

I've got a CIH 290 on a J&M 750 in gently rolling ground that never gets the front wheels engaged. This year I rented some hillier ground so we'll see how it goes. Visibility is good for me.

We pulled a 1000bu cart with a 8870 genesis tractor. Had duals on the back Handled it fine. It is harder to see in the truck but it’s nothing a camera doesn’t fix. We got a 933 Fendt this year with 900 singles on the back and 650 on the front so will Be interesting to see how it works. Neighbours pull a 1300bu cart with a similar tractor without any trouble.

Lots of 1000 bushel carts behind 8310R or 8430 type tractors around here. We pull 800 with an 8230.
