I'm looking at purchasing some 14' Westeel Rosco 1650 bushel bins on hoppers. I like them other then that a couple of them still have the doors on them instead of being taken out and replaced with sheets. How hard is it to take the doors out as they sit on the hoppers and replace them with sheets? What precautions would I have to take to make sure the bin doesn't shift, and what would I have to add for stiffeners after? Also, where can you find door sheets and stiffeners for these bins, and what is going to be the cost to buy these sheets and stiffeners? Thanks!

Bin door should be easy to take out except the crawling inside and standing on a ladder outside. We just put the stiffeners that were on the door back on when we put in sheets. We get them from our local coop but anybody who sells westeel bins should be able to get them. I think they are a couple hundred per door sheet. Can’t remember. Might be couple hundred per door. That size of bin shouldn’t shift while removing the door I don’t think. Never done one while it’s been on a hopper

Been a few years since I did one of those, but I believe I just bought a heavy sheet to cover door and cut into a couple of chunks and drilled the end holes in.
Stiffeners are pretty important on that setup, the bottom of the bin will crinkle if stiffeners aren't present.
