Spoke with someone at a meeting today that works for a trucking firm, they switch back and forth between co-op and petro-can fuel on a regular basis. I guess they are trying to spread support around the community which is a reasonable thing. Anyways he said there is this one hill that they pull on a regular basis and with co-op fuel they have to drop an extra gear to make it. This has been a repeated and on-going thing they have noticed and not one time.
I thought that was kinda relevant to our discussion here, and quite frankly surprised me. I never cared to monitor that close when I went back and forth, mainly because fuel is a pretty minor line item on a farm. But if I was in the trucking business and I saw that I would take notice. He also said currently co-op is 20 cents per liter cheaper, so maybe it's a wash...

Yeah that is definitely relevant SW. Personally I don't find fuel a minor thing on the farm. If I can get better performance/price I am looking into it. I met up with a local wrench puller this morning who also has cattle and got on the topic of pricing. He is using the ufa gold, it gives him an extra day of feeding compared to coop. Every little bit helps lately, but a guy still has to see if that extra day is worth the extra expense.
