If you need a hvac fan motor pn. RE162771, the dealer will want $480.00 for a direct replacement This motor assembly fits a multitude of different cabs in the johndeere lineup. I have found a cheaper replacement option that I would like to share. $50.00 and a small amount of your time. Here is the original motor body (There are change up's to that pn. too) Here is the $50.00 replacement motor, the brand is "unimotor" picked it up, in stock, at my local First Place auto parts (bumper to bumper) The new motor nests nicely in the opening left by the removal of the old motor after trimming a small tab. I made up these two tabs, after putting the new motor in place and snugging down the nuts to hold the tabs in perfect alignment, tack the newly made tabs in place. Remove the motor before finish welding as to not over heat it. Weld it little by little to avoid warpage, dont let the part get really hot, or it *will go wonky. Splash a coat of paint. Now the shaft is shorter on the replacement fan but the fan was factory installed low in the shaft anyways... so before you pull your old one apart measure the height of the motor to the base and reinstall on the new motor at the same hight. Now with the $400 I saved you, buy some cold beverages and enjoy your air conditioning Cheers
