Yes 591 monitor. When calibrating it just measures the number of revolutions the auger makes when catching the sample. Just weigh the sample enter the number and it calculates that to a lbs/acre rate. That is why I don't understand the difference between the calculated rate and the rate shown on the monitor while seeding, it should be the same if the rate hasn't been changed.

Transmission actuator isn’t changing by itself? If not it could be the transmission slipping internally when there is more load on it then the calibration test. Could swap transmissions to another tank to see if the problem followed it. Not a quick thing to do though. Could maybe change range to see if running it faster helps it or makes it worse. If so then the transmission is on its way out.

The actuator is not moving, at least not the indicator, will have to double check. If the transmission is slipping would it not show an erratic shaft speed/rate? Probably best to run the tank empty and figure it out that way. Anyone know the sizes of the compartments? Have found a couple different ones and I didn't weigh the seed into the cart so...

It could be erratic but have been told they can slip and it’s like they are in a lower speed when it happens.
170-15-75-290 I do believe are the tanks.

I am no expert but I just rebuilt one of those zeromax trannys,, their are 4 oneway sprag gears in there that turn a little at slow speed and turn a lot on high speed , they must be really moving when your at the top end of the actavator,,, very possible one of them is acting up inside and giving you trouble, if you don't have the high output auger in there I bet that's could be your problem ,,,Having had to change 2 of the trannys out , we changed to the high output and went from running the activator 85-95 [280 - 320]lbs of product , now I think we back down in the 50-60 range ..

Thanks for your input guys. I still haven't got it figured out but at least it is consistent. Had the calibration motor coupler seize up and break off the bolts and wrap the hydraulic hoses up. Took it apart and it was dry. Why the grease nipple is on the shaft side and not on the bearing side, who knows. May have had an effect but should have made all the meters off. Next issue, does anyone have a solution to the crappy tank lid seals. Mine keep moving or splitting, have been climbing back up to check them every fill except that one time... Glad I have cameras in the tank only had to go back over a few passes.

Can’t say I’ve had a problem with the 6000 series lid seals.

Did you double check that your calibration hydraulic motor is spinning the meters the same speed that you are travelling when seeding? If this gets out of whack calibrations won’t be accurate

Haven't been on here in a while, never did get it figured out but everything got seeded and the rates were close enough.

Rear tank transmission is slipping and needs repairs. The output shaft no longer turns smoothly even without a load. Likely just worn as the oil is clean but wondering how easy it is to repair or if it's better to replace it?

Ive been told they aren’t too bad to repair if you know what your doing. Dealer had a guy rebuilding them then selling for a lot less then new.

I rebuilt 2 of them the hardest part of the whole deal is just putting the outside cover back on ,, other then that really easy to fix.

I have the parts here to rebuild one or two, never done it before though. Somebody should make a video on how it's done and post it...ha ha

Does it need to be removed from the cart or can it be done on the cart? From what I can tell on the Bourgault parts breakdown it appears to be possible to remove the actuator assembly and the outer cover and get to the sprag clutches which I think are the issue. I don't want to get it half apart and then end up screwing it up trying to remove the whole thing.

Iv always taken it off the unit ... There are about 6 bolts that hold it together and you need to hold them, the bolts might turn when you try to take it apart... I think its would be easier on a bench anyway to work on.. but I never tried to fix one on the tank..I found it was tricky to get the cover on and the shafts in the right spots...
