I have two Westfield augers that are going to the auction soon ..around the 15teenth of August, . they are a 10 inch by 51 foot swing auger, with winch lift, and a 8 inch by 36 foot with a Wisconsin workhorse 13 hp electric start engine on it .. What do you think they will bring ??

that's good to know .. don't actually expect much for them, dunno ??
the swing auger has the single fliteing, not the low profile dual fliteing..
they are going on Yorkton Auction august 15 timed sale .. should be two augers, a swath roller, two trailers ..

I don't know my prices at all when it comes to used grain augers but I know in the past sometimes it would surprise a person to see how much some worn out auger would sell for. Having said that I was looking a bit at some augers on Ritchie past sales and I hate to say it but chances are they won't bring too much simply because expectations of farmers for auger size isn't what it used to be. The swing auger doesn't have hydraulic lift I gather and that isn't a good selling point, just being honest. Never the less sometimes the smaller auger to others is the ticket for someone else who has a purpose for it, oh like augering fertilizer with it so they don't rust up their good auger or they are going to treat grain through it and only use it for that. Also a shorter swing auger would work just fine for taking out of flat bin unloaders.

I went on Ritchie Bros Auction, to the sold listings, and found that the augers went for maybe $500 and up .... I will be okay with that, they are not worn out by any means, I just don't need them any more, and auction is probably easier than answering a bunch of dumb questions, lol

the augers themselves went for 550 apiece, right from the farm yard, didn't bother taking them to the auction yard [about 20 miles]
