When I was still at Spruce Grove I used to go to Allen's sales down at Rimbey, used to have a good mix of stuff. Not sure whats behind him setting things up there east of the city, right between Prodaniuk to the north and Lindstrom to the south. I had went thru the online listing for that sale a few days ago and seemed to me a lot of what was listed was pretty junky, so that made me wonder if they are basically taking stuff that others won't.

There is a few items at that sale that have RB tags still on them so I don't know. The westeel 6" electric augers are one of them, but they are almost new and were also listed on kijji. The last years sale had equipment from some of the dealers in Vegreville in it, all the stuff that they couldn't sell. Agriterra had a MF220 swather that sat in their yard for at least 3 years went through that sale. They should have sold it by proxy, it would have saved them a side window replacement lol.

I looked over the photos from the auction site and yours BW, I was not surprised to see the sidewall mess and what a mess it is, but was a bit surprised they even put it on an auction with a visibly failed frame. I would guess someone who owns a scrap yard will tow it and scrap it perhaps, certainly no farmer should buy that to my way of thinking unless they are seeking out back yard ornaments.
I often wonder about these outfits that "refurbish" a trailer and some of them turn a closed end trailer into an open end trailer but what sort of crap are they even working with, what is that frame actually like inside as my guess would be not good at all.

Well them augers underneath and some tires must have been worth something, they got 1550 for that POS. Was another somewhat rustic set of super B trailers, think those brought @3500, them at least would have been usable around the farm. Some stuff there was damm cheap, other I think was somewhat high, but thats a sale for ya.

Well BW, we either saved you 1550.00 plus a huge DOT fine, or we made you miss out on thee deal of the century !
AB, it looks to me like those augers were welded right into the hoppers rather then a kit that comes off a trailer so not the sought after drill fill auger system most would be after. What are the odds the trailer comes up for sale again one last time next year.

How do you know I didn't buy it lol?
Pretty good odds that it will be there for the next sale, doubt it will make it out of the yard in one piece. The tire were pretty crappy and yeah those augers were welded in place. Not even flush with the bottom of the hopper. The orbitals and control system are probably the only thing worth anything to bring that price. Hopefully who ever bought it seen it in person or they are going to be in for a surprise. I know the owner of the super Bs that sold there, if its like the rest of his equipment they will need work too. I am happy with my tidy tanks and pumps for 400 each.

Well just a wild guess I suppose, or maybe the simple fact you probably just about crapped yourself when you saw the frame having totally failed for all intended purposes. I expect you got better value buying tidy tanks and pumps that can actually contain a substance vs spread it down the road. This trailer looks in worse shape by a fair margin over one that a custom trucker bought years back in this area on a budget along with the well used truck. I had brought this up in the past as this trucker was custom hauling someones certified seed peas from the seed plant and the trailer split in half so to speak as in the belly opened up as he was heading down the highway at full speed and so the whole load was gone in a flash. I got the impression he didn't have decent insurance and was trying to dig himself out of that mess for a while.
