Is anybody else annoyed by the excessive chirping of crickets in their farm shops lately or the abundant population of crickets which are everywhere! What type of chemicals are pet safe but work.
I was told a chemical called tempo works but have not tried it, When we got back from combining last night I got a bad idea that maybe garlic oil might work, since it works for mosquitoes and flies. Really bad idea. This morning one of my crew who was servicing the combines was wondering what the h e ll happened. I was told it might be 2 and a half more weeks of this chirping.
Any good ideas. thanks

We use tempo. Is like the sugary stuff we used to use for flies. Put it out on upsides down yogurt lids and our garage looks like a cricket death zone. I will put some in my shop right now. Don’t know if pets will try it. Only place my wife put it outside is in the the cracks close to house.

Sorry. The sugary stuff is called Quickbait. Tempo is a powder.

It's extremely annoying, but it could be a godsend...apparently they love eating grasshopper eggs.

Ha! I take it you don’t have those little F er’s in the house! You will be stepping on then. Guaranteed! It’s like I’m camping in a tent.

giminey cricket, thanks i will try tempo. fUNNY how they have managed to set every mouse trap off. or how they form an arch way around your shop doors. Interestingly enough my farm retailer cant get tempo. It is sold at livestock feed retailers or peavey mart. I know in two weeks they will be gone but the last two years there numbers have been to the moon!

I know some will spray Pounce (Permethrin 384 g/L) for spider control around buildings and it'll knock out pretty much any crawling insect. Got it sprayed around the factory/shop/office and seemed to last a solid year and a half. Definitely an invisible line around where they sprayed and the crawling bugs will straight up avoid it or die in it.

I put out some QuickBayt on Saturday in my 24x32 workshop and vacuumed up 300 crickets this morning.

I just sprayed that raid in the red can work awesome! Went around the house outside and they where pouring out of the cracks where the flashing and siding meet. Looked like a Freak show! Dead In about 90 Sec.
