We keep blowing up the implement hydraulic cooler on this new to us 9484. The cooler lines are vibrating like crazy and you can hear the bypass clicking like mad. We’re pulling a seedhawk 4412 with a dual fan bourgault 4250. Anyone have some advice on what’s going on?

I have to wonder if an accumulator would help soften those pulses it would seem that your system is producing. Morris is one example that uses or at least was using an accumulator and partly to help reduce hydraulic requirements on what I assumed as a momentary level such as cycling the openers when the fan is running etc. I don't know enough about it at all but figured I would throw out the idea of that type of a unit so that you could ask the question to seed hawk for example and if they felt such a unit would give less feedback to the tractors cooler.

I’m pretty positive it’s a tractor issue as we ran this drill/tank combo for 6 years before with a 876 versatile. I’m beginning to think that one of the priority valves for the steering is over pressurizing the implement side.

Was having similar issues with our 2425 buhler, essentially identical hydraulics to a 9884. Fan speed dropping, cultivator slow lifting, etc. Mechanic said a load sense issue. Recommended to clean load sense lines that come off pump and clean the screen in there. No screen, and no contamination I could find. I thought it might be a shuttle on the priority valve. Took the detent off the priority and found a broken oring from where I don’t know stuck in the tiny port off back of valve. Shuttle appeared fine so I figured the broken oring was the culprit. Anyway, we got it back together and got going and it ran fine until fan speed dropped off again. We deadheaded all the remotes to find the cultivator lift circuit levelled out fan speed and no problems after. Mechanic said there are load sense checks on each valve as well, and they can lose an oring or the ball gets stuck. Hope this may help.
