I'm in my mid 30's. I'm not interested in sports, and not interested in drinking beer. Farming and machinery is pretty much all I have. Which makes it hard in a country area. So I'm looking for some alternative ideas.

You have to get a off farm job. Met mine there, she was the weed inspector and I was the sprayer operator. And that is not a joke either even if it sounds like it lol.

Newspaper ad. Al Gore hadn't invented the internet yet. One of my kids used Match (or maybe a different online deal) and my daughter found her current man that way as well.

I meet my wife before I came back to farming. Amazingly, we were both from similar area. Had many of the same friends growing up. Never knew each other until she was going to college in Missoula and I was working in Billings. My advice, don't look to hard. When it works out, it works out.

My sister-in-law set up my wife and I, she actually has at least three successful set-ups. Some people are actually very good at that sort of thing and enjoy it, best to listen to their advice. If it was up to me I'd probably still be single, way too busy farming and just waiting for the perfect woman to show up....but there is no perfect person(although my wife is great ). Probably some internet match-making site would work and I recall there being a rural one that used to advertise in the Western Producer I think it was. Spending a bit of money on that might be cheap compared to what it costs to raise kids these days...

Grilling pork. Worked for three of us.
When I was less busy and needed less sleep or county pork producers did a lot of promotions all over the country.
My wife worked at local grocery store, we meet picking up product.
Buddy met his in Indianapolis at the 500, she was Iowa pork princess and went along.
Cousin met his at Iowa speedway grilling with another county.
Many women we crossed paths with at promotions and was a lot of fun. Even including a short relationship with a playboy playmate.
I'm telling you, grill pork.

Well thanks to my sister setting up my online dating profile without my knowledge, I met my wife of 18 years now. Wasn't to sure about the whole thing at first. After almost 12 months of getting no where I did one last search before going to delete my account. She only had just partially filled out her profile yet when it came up. 3 hours away from me. E-mailed, talked on the phone, met in person a week later, engaged in 4 weeks, married in 6 months. So far so good.

Is there a hobby that interests you? Have you thought of joining a club? I know you are not into sport, but mixed tennis is a great way to break the ice in a relaxed environment. Failing that, throw some barbecue's and invite your mates and their girlfriends and their girlfriends loose friends.

So, nobody here is going to admit they found their wife at the 2 o'clock pig scramble??!! lol
Met my wife years before we started dating, she was friends with my sister. I was too busy farming and working a construction job so had zero time for social life. Thankfully I smartened up and quit my off farm job. Been married for 11 years now and 2 kids. Only regret is it wasn't sooner.
You need to get off the farm to meet your future girlfriend/wife, the odds of her just wandering onto your farm are slim to none. You need to get involved in your community, join some clubs and groups, play some sports. Do things you enjoy and you will find someone with similar interests. I can't imagine how difficult it is right now for people trying to meet someone now with all the stupid covid restrictions.

Boy I don't know kevlar, one may show up on his yard. The amount of women in ag anymore is climbing. The amount of gals I do business with or work with anymore equals guys. And they are good looking.
Side note, when I was getting a new field advisor for my pigs I told the gal in charge of hiring I want a hot blond with big tits (her and I go way back). I ended up with a 6' 350 lbs bald guy. A bit off.
