We picked up an STX 440Q awhile ago and I'm wondering where to buy track roller sight glasses for it in Canada . It currently has the aluminum caps with the small sight glasses and we'd like to upgrade to the full clear sight glasses. Kile mfg makes them in US but not sure where to buy them up here. Located between dauphin MB and Yorkton SK.

I'm thinking that RME should have some. Not many units that haven't been converted at this point, but they used to do lots.

Im wondering how much difference there is to the full glass sightglasses. I have the small ones which you have to usually wipe then usually you can see a slight color difference if one happens to be low to the point of being out of the glass. Just wondering how much easier the full glass one would be? Can you see the oil level from further away? Without wiping? Originally the quadtracs came without sightglasses, only level plugs.

We have a few of the full sight glasses and they are alot easier to check. Especially underneath where the lighting is bad!

If you aren't working in mud I think you could check the full sight glasses from the front and back. No crawling underneath in decent conditions

I always have to either wipe them or shine my flashlight in them and watch the shadow
