I took the time to watch video's of someone flipping the pages and reading two of the six banned books to see what was all so awfully bad. There was a Chinese man reference in one who was eating with chopsticks and Japanese in another about something so can only guess that was what all the excitement was about. Also some of these books span way back to the 1930's and at least in the two I saw I didn't think it stood out as anything more then what culturally it was. I have to wonder what is in books in other countries such as China and Japan or Africa for that matter in how they paint people in western Europe or North America and if they are busy banning books ?

We have a few Dr Seuss books but unfortunately none of those. I guess the preference today would be a children’s book with a same sex couple.

That's too "straight" or normal these days, I'd say two "peoplekind" as a couple and in this case two left wing nuts that fit one or more of the fluid genders on the ever growing invented list. Get ahead of the future with a best seller childrren's book like that to totally form ( warp ) the minds of the young and impressionable so no amount of weekly sessions at a nut doctor could undo the damage caused to the children of tomorrow.

Well I got a call from the oldest kids teacher today. They are learning about the trail of tears and she asked him how he thought Indians were treated then and now. His response was they were treated horrible then but they are treated pretty good now since they get money to not work and don't have to pay taxes.
She did not like it when I asked what the problem was and attempted to inform me I was incorrect. Conversation ended when I said I've never seen the shoe are you smarter then a fifth grader but it appears you lost.
I'll probably hear from the principal tomorrow.

I just wonder how long it will be until Orwell's books get banned. I'm going to order one shortly just to make sure my kids can see how the world we are living in was once considered fiction.

Way to screw up a day, one dog came back with a foot bracelet. Waiting to see if the vet will give me any sedative to bring him in. 130+ lbs dog that is in pain and does not like closed quarters is not going without a fight. Might not be too bad, caught him between the pads and nothing feels broken.

If he didn't break anything I guess the offset (gap) jaws did what they're supposed to do. Hope you can get him in for an x-ray to make sure. Metacam is good for pain and inflammation.

Reading that reminded me of a time I was digging out a culvert that beavers had plugged up, was digging out the grass and mud and willows by hand when I had a handful of what I thought was willows, turned out to be a conibear trap. A moment of panic ensued and I threw it down, fortunately it wasn't set, no doubt had been set off when the beavers plugged the culvert. I no longer dig them out without some kind of tool.

I have to say I am pretty happy with the vet clinic. May have to use them more often. They were nice enough to leave some sedatives outside for me last night to calm him down so I can get him to them. No broken bones and slightly lighter in the nut area for $525 and sent me back with 6 days of metacam.

Going to take the fish shack off the lake today, starting to melt too much and sounds warm for awhile yet, going to play it safe, a little unnerving doing it when there is water on top of the ice. Hopefully I don’t have any pictures to show later!
