Probably not "interesting" but a couple days ago I blew a hydraulic hose on my sprayer. What makes that noteworthy (to me at least) is that I was HOPING that i would make the entire season without a hose going. I was THIS close LOL. On the plus side, it happened in the yard. I had been doing some minor maintenance/repairs and when i went to lift the booms to rack them, the hose let go so not a big deal. I don't recall the last time i went a whole season without a hose going. Oh well, maybe next year. BTW, my sprayer just rolled over 600,000 acres yesterday.

Those hydraulic hoses sure do get expensive. It's one of the main wear items that do definitely age and fail over time. So you should definitely buy a newer unit for a couple $100k to avoid those issues. That's what makes the hoses so expensive.

Something I found interesting was there was a little note at the bottom of the manual on a cr8090 that said some European countries legally require hydraulic hoses replaced every 6 years or something like that. Would sure add to maintenance bill

Falling into the category of why does the weird crap always happen to me:
Last Thursday had an altercation with FedEx driver. Was working in shop loading tools in ranger, heard him coming down road and skidded to a stop in front of house drive, thought nothing of it as I figured he just missed drive. Go back to loading ranger and I heard yelling and screaming. I was going to walk over and tell the guy to cool it because all that would do is get my moderately protective German Shepherd wound up. Started out the door and the continued screaming was accompanied by violent shaking of the truck. At this point I really thought someone was getting the hell beat out of them so I call 911 and grab my pistol to stop this. He pulls halfway in drive and same thing insues. Pulls all the way in drive and more of the same. Throws boxes out and gets out. I yell "hey what's going on?" He says don't worry about it, it's personal. I said, "No that doesn't work right now.". He says nothing and starts walking at me, I have phone up to my ear and pistol very visible, not pointed at him but at low ready. I said that's close enough and he continues walking at me, probably 30' away at this point, I tell dispatch "I'm going to have to shoot him.". A fraction of a second after that my dog came from behind me somewhere and went on full offense. He did not bite the guy but pushed him back to his truck in no uncertain terms. Driver left and against deputies wishes I followed him so they knew where he was. Deputies finally caught up several miles way at another residence. They told me everything was ok, guy was having some major issues and on the verge of a full mental breakdown. They had him sitting down and talking calmly and were trying to get him to call a crisis hotline and get some help. I don't know what happened afterwards as I left. I did tell one deputy that the guy should write my dog a thank you letter because he was seconds from getting shot. I'm really glad it did not come to that.

Just a reminder - check the lug nuts. Gonna cost a pretty penny for that rim and hub.😬

More interesting for my brother than myself, but he got to drive this thing for a day. He let me come for a ride for a couple rounds. Not trading on this particular machine, but likely going to bite on one just like it, but a couple years older. Ran twin rotors for years, then got talked into our current CX, but after running this one for a day we're convinced a CR is the way to go again. This one had a Macdon FD140, always heard everyone talk how great they are, yes it's nice, but didn't feed or cut any better than our Honeybee. The Contour Buddy was nice.

Well as I approached the hyway on my way to town I'm like WTF is this shit on the road...straddled it and carried on, swung wide coming home...well been a while since I had this. About ten years ago is was a quarter mile south in the middle of the gravel and had the paper towel stuck in the top... I've pissed off the battery box of the old KW out in the bush or on the ice while still rolling and done other things more countless times that I can ever remember in snow banks ditches or the bush and yea even the off the side of shoulder...but not once ever did I shit in the middle of the road for everyone else to drive thru, some people are just disgusting IMO Even the booze bottle and the roll of asswipe got left as well

Last week I saw the same thing, I’m pretty sure it was someone out scouting for deer 🦌, I couldn’t believe they didn’t do that business in the ditch.

Maybe they had a bumper dumper…. You know the toilet seat that attaches to the back of a truck.

Driveway for my bull pen is on a main highway exactly 10 miles from the 3 closest towns either direction. Apparently that is the magic number because it is a weekly drop zone with occasional multiples. Someday I'm going to put up a sign with a notebook in a weather tight case asking to date, initial and give home town and state.
Worst I've ever found was a big pile of crap with wipes, 2 cans of drank nasty ass beer, a used condom and a pair of vomited on pants. That had to be an interesting night.

This is a little awkward, but could you mail my pants back to me?
