K, I have been noticing at times when I come on the forum and click on the "new" button on a thread, occasionally that it skips posts that I have not read and were posted since I was last online.
I don't log out when I leave, I just simply close the browser window and shut down my air card. About once a week the site seems to log me out automatically and makes me log back in, then good to go again for several days.
Only access site on my computer.
Am running Windows 7 Professional and Chrome as the browser. Oh and my Ad Block runs on the site, I get a blue bar across the bottom of screen at times asking me to turn it off but otherwise everything seems to work properly.
Is this something I am doing wrong, or some anomaly of the site?
I just had it do it to me again on Swman's combine thread, went right to the last post by Meskie, and the way I knew I had missed some, was there was two posts quoted in his with time stamps of within an hour or so.
The other nite it happened on the Trump thread resulting in me missing a reply by Ken to a question I had put to him, then next morning I click on the new button and it takes me to that skipped message. Like with that example, I ripped on Ken for not answering that evening, only to find out next morning that he had given an answer....I ended up feeling like an ass over that. Another member did post right after I did that morning and he claimed he had missed it previously and was just now seeing Ken's post for the first time as well, so guess its not just me.
Anyone else having this happen? Kind of screws with the conversation when you miss a comment or two, and like in that one case with me, there was repercusions because of it. I want to avoid that in the future. Any ideas? Thanks.
