Good choice. Is your 9.90 equipped with Intellisense? I am hearing it is amazing and actually works! My local dealer had one demoing but it did not get to our farm last season.

Iam abit surprised your not keen on the Pro 700
I find it simple, yet modern with great page layout options and data/info. And it’s cheaper now to replace if it stuffs up.
I don’t know what’s available on the new screen so I guess I don’t know what iam missing out on. Everything I need to know or do is on the 700, so happy days.
You will be very happy with the 9.90 I just hope the 40’ black bit on the feeder house doesn’t let you down.

Find the pro 700 is slow when it comes to steering, when the screen says your near your next line you are actually way past it. Hard to make steering more aggressive. After running a CNH 3152 front for the last 5 years, the Macdon won't have to be too special to be an improvement. Only good reports on the 1 series Macdons around here.

I was told it’s just programming that can be added to newer machines for intellisence

It has to be more than programming. There are a whole suite of sensors required to make automation work, no?

I’m thinking cruise control not automation.

I had 8.90,out last fall in canola. I wouldn’t pay for automation. At least not in canola. Sample was around 3.5% dockage with it on.

No weed seeds just pieces of canola stalks and pods. I think it would have been better if the salesman had more than 6 months experience. He didn’t seem too worried about.

I try to use automation anytime I can. Its one of those thing. I bought it I’m going to use it. I tried it in corn I couldn’t get it to work like it should for some reason. Barley it’s ok for the most part I guess. But canola that’s where it shines! For me anyway. I ran automation for two years now in canola. I had my BEST sample and yield with it. As time go’s on case will come out with new crops to input into the combine. As many options you can buy for combines this automation will payback the fastest and a chopper for that matter.

You are miles & miles better off - in more ways than just one - by just fitting a Redekop MAV to a CR.

I had 8.90,out last fall in canola. I wouldn’t pay for automation. At least not in canola. Sample was around 3.5% dockage with it on. In my opinion & my experience with either NH or Case machine automation ...... for they’re both a bit different ....... people are mad not to include automation upon purchase & either mad, or don’t take the time to understand automation ..... or just too impatient with automation ..... to give automation time to gain the best out of their machine. “pass-to-pass learning” is just that. It (automation) learns the more work it does & the more fine tuning an operator - who understands & appreciates the system & the processes are doing - it works. And it works better than the best operator ...... because at any time of day (or night) ....... the system doesn’t get distracted or tired. Sure, there’ll be new software updates as & when made available ...... & that’s a good thing. It can only get better. The bit that does annoy me with all colours automation is the sales bullshit. The idea that you can put a “heart beat” on the seat & automation will (apparently) turn them & the machine into an “expert operator” ...... is total crap. You still need someone, on the seat with a bit more than a heart beat operating the machine. Someone with common sense & a basic understanding of the harvesting process for that particular machine is still vital.
