Dont actually watch/listen to the news much, just what I am exposed to in bits on commercial breaks. But the very idea of "systemic racism" is another example of programming at work. If it was a real thing we would have full analysis by now as to which races fit where, instead of this one narrow talk of blacks and whites. Because there are far more races then two. And, coincidentally, in Canada it is whites and natives.
It is actually not an easy thing recognize, but this is how the system works. An issue is invented and full focus is put on the issue, and it is a very narrow focus. And people start talking about it. People are actually programmed. The discussion is created, the points are provided, and the narrative created. And because it is in the "news" it becomes a valid discussion and therefore "real". And because it is so controlled, it is hard to step back and see the bigger picture. Because if you do that, the whole thing falls apart. Therefore there is intent to keep peoples attention focussed on those small details so you don't step back and look at the big picture. You are literally being programmed on what/how to think.
Presently we have a few good examples. "Peaceful" protests with cities burning - the focus is on racism. "systemic racism" that only involves two races and not a peep of the others. The scamdemic and shutting down the economy to flatten the curve - Saskatchewan has two people in hospital right now yet we have hourly news about this deadly pandemic.
So, O'Toole being asked about "systemic racism". Sure. I can see that. It is how the system works.
It's not easy to see without some guidance, but 99% of the "news" involves a guy paying attention to what is not said. Many times I can't even figure it out so I need to read elsewhere and someone smarter than me will point it out and then I see it. The bulk of what is "news" is actually programming you what to think. That's why it is not simply facts and data, its is opinions, adjectives, feelings, expert commentators. News is just data and facts. We get very little of that. The second you hear Trump "got defensive" about a question you are no longer listening to news because someone just inserted an opinion/programming by adding the word "defensive". And so I mention "populist".
I don't think I ever mentioned it before but try it some time. Watch the "news" for 5 minutes and pay attention to what % is not news but instead words and descriptions meant to program you on how to perceive something.
And the big picture. Issues are invented and then government creates a response. If the issue is invented, what are the chances the government response has been planned long ago and is therefore not really a response. But rather the policies come first and then the news creates the issue for the policies to be implemented.

I can't recall if I or someone else had posted this on the old forum some time ago but this spells out the very action of programing of the people, currently I can't say who is in the drivers seat of it in North America but with all the nonsense that makes no sense to us farmers when we do watch the news and hear of the latest idiotic thing that our black face leader has decreed, there is some twisted end goal and we can be rest assured its not for our own health and well being. I believe there is a long version of this same interview as well.

So where is the Buffalo Party on the political spectrum? And why does independent have a number 3 on there, is that previous seat count?
Seems like a crowded ballot to me!

Am I reading that right, looks like under 30% of eligible voters in SK will actually cast a ballot???
No wonder the government just does whatever it wants when people won't even bother to vote!!!

Don't understand why mail in votes are not counted yet. Election day ended yesterday, not Oct 27, Nov 3, or Dec 1. Ballots are cast and counted on Oct 26 election day. If more time is needed for mail in ballots then that is factored in on the front end, not back end. Meaning your ballot must be received by say, noon of the 26th to be counted. If you decided to mail it on the 25th or a storm disrupted mail service, well maybe it is the responsibility of the person holding that mail in ballot to submit it in a more timely manner. Is it the same story with early voting where the story is that votes cast at those stations are not yet counted or is it assumed those votes cast early are collected in a timely manner from early voting stations to be counted for Oct 26th.
Saw a SCOTUS ruling that election day in the US is Nov 3,votes coming in after that are not in the timeframe of the election and therefore not to be counted. Makes sense.
Wife voted Saskparty, so I voted Conservative. It was them or Buffalo Party. Basically a coin toss when I had my ballot to mark. At least the commies lost a couple more seats. Wife has a lot of liberal ideas but definitely not previously left wing enough to vote NDP or Green but this whole covid thing really has opened her eyes to how things work. Things I used to tell her to watch for and she dismissed she now pays attention to. She didn't beleive a lot of my scamdemic talk in April and often argued against my points but now she 100% understands the talk of covid "cases" and is looking up data for herself and showing me it.
Saskparty is still too far to center for what I think is a better way for free people to live and so cast a vote for a different option. I bet if a study was ever done on how many vote simply based on who is likely to win so they can say "I picked the winning group to vote for", the data would be interesting.

I beleive so Meskie. I know when I was just starting to vote one of the things I asked friends is who is favored to win and why. When you don't know much a person looks more for justification for why to follow the norm rather than go outside the box and forge your own way. Polls showing a lead would certainly steer my vote many years ago. We can also ask what reason there is for Canada to be broadcasting election results while polls are still open. Election often decided before BC is done voting. Granted very few people are in line and casting ballots at the last hour but still.
So I do have a big issue with results being broadcast then people saying "oh, hey, look over here. We have a whole box of ballots to count". Sorry, that ship sailed. The final results are compiled and announced when all ballots counted. Not this quasi election thing where the election is decided, but not really, all results aren't in, so hold tight a few days while we collect more ballots and review numbers and get back to you. It's like a kTel commercial "wait - there's more!". Um, no. Polls closed. Ballots were counted. Election done.

Voting should be in-person and leave it at that, mail in voting is ripe for fraud. Here the in-person voting you have to show ID and then they give you an unmarked ballot which you mark and they put in a sealed box and it's opened when representatives from all parties are present. Not much room for fraud there unless everyone is in on it. With mail-in ballots who all handles those and who is there for accountability? Voting machines would be exponentially worse I can imagine.
Then there is the whole "wasted vote" concept. How many times have you heard that if you don't vote for the winning party or the only other party that can upset them, you have "wasted your vote"? Pretty hard for a new party to make inroads when that is the attitude. I'd almost be in favor of representation by % of the popular vote, that way every vote would get a say and even parties who held a small number of seats would have a say in how things are run, if they hold the balance of power in a minority government they definitely would have a say. That coupled with free votes would make for a very functional government, probably way better chance of them doing things in line with voters wishes is my guess.

I don't see it as one should vote for the "winning" party, as that one should vote for the party that is most likely to win and is the closest in line with what one desires. Otherwise you have vote splitting, and I can't think of a better example of what kind of a disaster that can create than here in AB when we ended up with the NDP winning solely because of the vote splitting between two conservative parties. I have nothing against new voices or parties, but when its blatantly obvious they do not have enough support to ever get into power, they do siphon votes away from the partly with a likely chance of winning, and as in AB's case, over two thirds of population paid one hell of a price for what I consider was a stupid ongoing experiment in politics.
What scares the hell out of me is that we are heading to another such fiasco next election here as well, lots very disappointed with Kenney's refusal to pull his head out of his ass and see writing on the wall, so many of the folks who supported him are pissed with his continuous denial of what the people want and I can see it already we are most likely heading for another complete wreck come next election. Not good IMO.

REGINA - Saskatchewan NDP Leader Ryan Meili says he plans on returning to the legislature as an updated provincial election count shows him more than 200 votes ahead of his opponent. The counting of more than 40,000 mail-in ballots began Wednesday, following Monday’s fourth-straight majority win by the Saskatchewan Party. Election night polls closed showing Meili trailing Saskatchewan Party candidate Rylund Hunter by 83 votes in the race to keep his seat in Saskatoon Meewasin. The Elections Saskatchewan website says 1,065 mail-in ballots so far received and counted give Meili a 209-vote lead over Hunter. But the agency says it may still get ballots in the mail — another 591 were issued in that constituency — and a final count will be held Nov. 7.
Well, color me surprised. NDP leader will maintain his seat because of mailing ballots. In person voting costs him his seat but 65% of mail in ballots go NDP. 300 go to give him the lead and 400 for NDP offset 400 against so 700 of 1100 ballots went to NDP. And the election will be finished Nov 7. Not Oct 26. Why do we announce election results if the election is not finished?
