Came across these sisters who really scratch my itch for blues, slide guitars and female vocals.

Not sure what prompted my thoughts of this one, one I haven't actually heard in a while, have it on CD somewhere, tape got eaten many years ago lol, back then had one of them high end Kenwood digital am/fm cassette decks in the Kenworth, was mounted up in the headliner, wasn't a lot of heat up there and when it was cold outside had the habit of destroying more than a few tapes lol. I forget how it all come about, but one nite was a bunch of us heading north up thru the Chinchaga with a rig on board, we was chattering to each other on the Mullen two way, one thing led to another and I ended up with this song playing with the volume cranked up and holding the mike keyed close the speaker about my head for the duration...funny how certain events stick in your mind but with many of them details get sketchy now, some of that between 25 to 30 years ago now.

Beth Hart has a good voice, something often missing from blues. Jazz/blues is an interesting area of music to explore especially since they can cross over often. Jazz tends to require a smooth voice.
Can't go wrong with Nitty Gritty or Alabama.
Found these while poking around. Mark and Emmylou did an album together so that's how this performance came about.
Came across Ruthie Foster in the blues area and she has a good voice and so came across this performance.

Had to run into the city this morning, was on the Fort Road between Ft Sask and Edmonton when I saw a chicken truck headed north across the median. A since childhood friend has drove for Lilydale for over 30 years so every time I see one it always makes me think of him. But minutes later and for the rest of the morning till I got to the Dr's office couldn't stop singing, humming or whistling this song...so many of my songs predate videos, this was about best I could find. Always liked many of John's songs.

I guess we should mention Eddie Van Halen's passing 6/10/20, at the age of 65. Among the top 10 best guitar players ever, a brilliant composer and a trailblazer in guitar technique. R.I.P.

Yea just seen about Eddie on the news, another one gone.
Made a post in another thread and referenced this song, figured I'd find it and stick it here while it was on my mind.

And since Ab brought up John Anderson, one of my favorite songs.
