I really wish no-one had mentioned the word Covid this year. My bet is we'd have had a very bad flu season and continued on our merry way, none the wiser, immune systems bolstered, economies intact, businesses saved, mortgage foreclosures normal, suicides normal. Heck I'd even put up with the climate change bed-wetter's on the news again, anything but Covid. Yet the madness prevails. Beam me up Scotty FFS!

I think the reason they called it Corona virus at the beginning was to give people a hint that they were going to want to drink before this was over. Have tried to flip to The National a few time now over the last week or so just to see what crap they are spewing, it is literally 55 minutes of the hour talking about Covid, and not even news about it, but some crappy story that would be more fit for a small local news channel, not national news. They are still using this for a distraction to the major events going on in the world. The stuff our wonderful leader has pulled off the last while should fill 95% of the news, it doesn't even get mentioned. The riots going on in the US should be getting updates during the day but only gets a brief mention on our news and how it's Trump's doing.

We've found several free to the internet streaming services - France 24, Al Jazeera, Deutsche Wella, even RT is occasionally worth a look. We refuse to pay for CNN's Demo spin but we can watch free CNN online if we want to get the Democrat party line. By cycling through some international options we manage to get a bit better picture of what is going on in the world. I've been looking but so far haven't found a good English language service from India or China.

I really welcomed harvest and the long days out in the field to help distract from all the fake news stories. Thank goodness NFL is soon to kick off! I lost my bomber season , but at least last week I renewed my 2021 bomber season tickets. Hope the scourge is over by than. Yesterday night I saw the NASCAR race in darlington and it looked packed with fans at night! Seems the folks down in the deep south are not too worried about getting sick. Beaches are also packed, so the question begs, how on gods green earth could so many people ignore a plague if it not seen as a pandemic. I honestly think there cant be that many irresponsible people without a serious conscious. here in Winnipeg , the scourge cases are sky rocketing and the only concern is children masks and who should wear them at school. No news on full hospitals. Ken mb how is sask doing ,and how will Christmas or thanksgiving travel be this year.

1 person in hospital and 45ish active cases. Better keep things closed down.........
Kids going to school and are recommended to wear a mask.....they said they won’t wear them just cause. everybody I talk to is over it and sick of all the stupid people wear a mask but don’t cover your nose take the mask on and off without cleaning your hands. I’m sure they helping Sturgis rally in the states and haven’t heard about the big outbreak everybody said that would come.

Why is it that, despite lockdown's, people are free to mingle in supermarkets, handle the food...the apples, the oranges, the baskets, the trolleys, the money machine, cough sneeze, belch and fart at will, yet no case's of covid (that I'm aware off) have been transmitted through a supermarket? Either it's not very contagious or most people are contacting it and showing few, if any, symptom's.

Here in Manitoba we are getting over run with cases, bodies piled high in the streets. In a code ORANGE!!!!! That's right! CODE ORANGE!!!!! We're all doomed! Last few deaths were in a care home. poor souls suffered, for 15 years. The sad thing is, some sites I have read, many people are still terrified by this, absolutely terrified, saying people shouldn't be allowed anywhere, keep everyone out of Manitoba, bla bla bla. There seems to be more people with some pull starting to point out how this has been over done, they don't get much notice, but hopefully will keep pushing the truth out. Kids start school tomorrow, thank the Lord, I can't home school, and they need social interaction, and we all need a break from each other. I have been up front with my kids on how I view this whole virus BS and they seem pretty calm about it, but I know many kids and parents are scared to go back thinking they are going to die. Way to screw up a generation people.

Here's a good one or that I had no clue of how such places were laying down the law. So a couple of weeks ago an aunt of mine stopped by the farm and I knew she had moved out of her little rental place locally last year and moved into a retirement type establishment where its a bit like a small hotel/apartment ( have not seen inside of it yet and they won't allow visitors in the place either ) as each room has its own kitchen, bathroom, bedroom etc so I gather its like living in your own apartment. I believe they serve lunch and am assuming in a common room but a person can stick to yourself if you want. So anyway when all this BS took place in late winter they made a rule where they could not leave the place for over 24 hours without upon return having to self isolate within their own apartment and could not literally leave your apartment for two weeks and have to get family or friends or someone to bring you groceries etc to survive on. Due to her going on a holiday into BC this summer as one episode, another time she had work done on her vehicle and that was a ways away and parts had to be ordered so she couldn't make it back in time, another time she went somewhere else and so again had to self isolate. So 3 times so far since all this started she has had to self isolate for a total of a month and a half simply because she lives in an elderly retirement home but in her case functions fully independently as a person. Ok so here is where it gets even more retarded, due to that 24 hour rule she is able to leave the place every day if she wants and hop into her car and and do whatever and go where ever she dam well pleases as long as she is back before the 24 hours is over but they make it known that they "don't like it that she leaves". Now you tell me where the logic is in any of this. She also explained that many of the people there have or are becoming depressed and are so screwed up in their thinking and so worried "its going to get them" so instead of living life they are huddled away in their rooms emotionally all messed up and that is the extend of their enjoyable retirement years ?. You can darn well imagine some of them will turn on the TV and get fed the daily dose of constant BS overload from our lovely news channels to keep them in a constant state of stress and depression.

Yeah we are in the code orange thing too, all because of some cases in Brandon. Nobody in Manitoba has died of this that didn't already have a pre-existing condition and basically all were elderly. Sounds mean but this is what happens every year without a passing glance. On the code orange we have to wear a mask to go to an "indoor public place", I don't plan to wear a mask unless I'm in a grain bin personally. Businesses that participate in the hysteria will not see me darken their doorway...
Don't turn on the TV anymore and have been combining with radio off, so peaceful. This looks to be the year we begin home-schooling, because the focus on the bus and at school will be on staying away from people and masking up. Those are damaging lessons to teach kids IMO.
The main problem as I see it(apart from the financial destruction and loss of personal rights and freedoms) is that there are two distinct views on this. Some people entirely believe what they hear on the mainstream news to be true, and they are busy shaming those who aren't in full compliance with every little rule made by the government. They say that we "don't care" if we don't do "what's best for everyone". If you read through the Manitoba law on covid restrictions it specifically says near the end that all of the rules in that law don't apply to the government or anyone working for the government!!! Yeah, pretty easy to see the benevolent governments of the world are looking out for the people....NOT!

Two places so far that I've went to which had their doors locked and a sign saying order by phone and so called the one bearing place ( Motion Industries ) and they blabbed about a drop box on the side of the building and that was not only to get parts but to drop something off if one had to have it measured up etc .... when they could get around to it. My fricking god, I hung up the phone and found the bearing somewhere else but the problem is that is the main place in Grande Prairie to get such things. Same with Fastenal in GP anyway as the doors were locked and a sign on the door saying to call and place an order, its impossible to function with that system if I can't see their screen and go through a list of options to make sure they are ordering in the correct thing or see it in my hands so once again I said fk this and drove off to another place and was able to get what I needed. I wonder if these places are grasping this or if they assume everyone is going to conform to their stupidity and work deal with their self created crap.
The radio quit in the swather for some reason and so while I would like to listen to some normal conversation and local goings on and some music, on the other hand I know its going to piss me off to hear the constant bullshit of the garbage they continually spew it seems now on the radio as well.
I just shake my head at adult people who are obviously NOT OLD walking along through the parking lot far from the store with their mask still on and to compound the crap lately I am seeing parents forcing their young children to wear a mask as well, its just sickening to witness it from my perspective. I don't go near or talk to people like that because of course they would have "issues" to say the least and certainly with the fact that I am not wearing a mask.

Masks are really starting to piss me off more. Kids in grades 3 and up have to where a face covering or shield while at school. This is nothing more than a distraction for kids and hampers their learning environment. Next screw ball thing in schools is no salad bar at lunch and less food options on plates at lunch time to reduce the possibility of contamination. So now we have half starved kids wondering around school in their face coverings, yeah so much for a quality safe education.

If masks are so effective why do we still Have to social distance or follow the arrows in the grocery store?

The one good thing about the masks is at least the people who always have bad breath maybe realize it now and will do something about it.

Well the kids hopped on the bus this morning. Not another kid on the bus!! HaHa, i guess they will get their own private chauffeur this year. Or until they have another freak out and shut school down again. In that case, I told my wife, we'll just "unschool" until the stupidity slows down.

If masks are so effective why do we still Have to social distance or follow the arrows in the grocery store? They are very effective! Effective at keeping people fearful when they start to realise what a massive play this all is.
